Manufacturer's Information and Features |
| Lie-Nielsen No.3 Bench Plane |
The Lie-Nielsen No. 3 Bench Plane is based on the Stanley Bedrock. The Bedrock series of bench planes were the top of the line for Stanley - heavier and better made than the standard line. The frog design is unique - a fully machined mating fit between the frog and the body with locking and adjustment screws so that the frog can be easily adjusted from the rear without having to remove the cap and blade. This allows precise adjustment while working.
The No. 3 is slightly smaller than the No. 4 Bench Plane and weighs 3-1/2 to 4 lbs.
