* * * Details * * * High angle frogs (HAF) have a 50 degree bedding angle which can improve results in highly figured woods. On the other hand, the higher angle does not improve performance on soft straight grained lumber and may require more effort to push the plane.
We recommend the 45 degree frog which is standard on Lie-Nielsen bench planes for most work.
