Lie-Nielsen No.112 Large Scraping Plane is based on the Stanley 112. Sharp and set properly with a slight forward tilt to the blade - a very light depth of cut - and smooth light strokes - this tool will produces a final finished surface on the most difficult hardwoods. Its size makes it ideal for finishing large flat surfaces such as tables. Weighs just over 4 pounds. - Blade hardened to Rockwell 55 which is soft enough to burnish well but hard enough to hold an edge well
