High Angle 50° Frog for LN 4 and 5 - The first of the high-angle Bailey frogs ever made. Commercial metal bench planes have their blades bedded at 45 degrees. But some people prefer a higher angle 50 degree York Pitch for smoothing.
In the past the only option for a higher angle was a Norris or similar plane. Lie-Nielsen Toolworks is now offering a 50 degree replacement frog for their 4 and 5 planes. Now you can see for yourself the advantages of a high angle smoothing plane. - Will not fit other maker's tools
