The Lie-Nielsen Independence Small Crosscut Saw is based on a Sheffield-made saw from the 1830s. English backsaws from that era represent the pinnacle of the sawmaker's art where beauty - form and function are blended to perfection. The highly decorative handle will fit your hand like a glove - comfortable and ready for hours of sawing pleasure. Balance is excellent.

The Independence Small Crosscut Saw is the same size as the Independence Dovetail saw but is filed crosscut at 16 points per inch which makes it handy for small crosscut jobs.
