The sliding blades of this tool can be adjusted at an angle (up to approximately 10°) with the beam which makes it handy for custom angled dovetails.
The larger knurled thumb screw locks the blades at any position, and the smaller one tilts the blades at an angle. To set the blade at an angle, first release the blade clamp screw, then the blade may be tilted to the desired angle by turning the small knurled screw into the beam. The blade can be held in position by tightening the clamping screw.
Head and blades are hardened and ground. Blade is graduated on one side, upper edge in 32nds, lower edge in 64ths. |
