Diamond whetstones have two advantages over waterstones and oilstones. They cut more quickly and stay flat, but additional honing with finer abrasives is needed for the best edge. Our 8000 grit Norton Waterstone is an excellent choice for final honing after the Extra Fine diamond plate.

Extra-Extra Coarse (XX) - (120 micron / 120 mesh) 8 x 3 x 3/8 in Diamond Whetstones are well suited for flattening conventional and water stones such as those made by King and Norton.
