  Category Description

Unlike western saws, Japanese saws cut on the pull stroke which places the blade in tension on the cutting stroke. Thus the blade can be made much thinner without concern for kinking. Tooth patterns are also somewhat different but are still optimized for ripping or crosscutting. Some people prefer Japanese saws because they start the cut easily and typically have a narrower kerf.

We offer high quality saws with choices of blade and tooth configurations suitable for many types of work. Most of these saws have convenient replaceable blades and impulse hardened teeth to stay sharp longer.
